Hi,
I wonder if the fact that you mention the jasper version means that you
decided to exchange the jasper libraries to use an updated version.
If this is the case you should be aware that JasperReorts is a quite
huge software package and has many dependencies. Many of these
dependencies are also dependencies of other libraries that are used in
the core. If you upgrade only jasperreports.jar it may not work. If you
upgrade all of its dependencies you can not be sure if you broke
something else. (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dependency_hell)
Upgrading single components in ADempiere is very error-prone and is
dependent on long testing of all other components. Because the
developers recognized that fact some years ago there was a decision to
switch to the OSGi platform. OSGi is a component technology that allows
to separate so-called "bundles" of software from each other and to
declare clear interfaces between - e.g. - the iDempiere base plugin and
the iDempiere JasperReports plugin.
So we are at the core of your problem: You say you are using ADempiere
3.70. To avoid the dependency-hell please instead consider using
iDempiere. Upgrading single jar files in ADempiere is unsecure and
error-prone.
iDempiere is the more modern version of ADempiere, based on the OSGi
component technology. And by the way it has a whole bunch of other bugs
solved and more functionality.
Because this place is the iDempiere forum I am not sure if someone can
help you with your issue.
Said that I created a new (alternative) JasperReports plugin for
iDempiere. It contains the most actual version of jasperreports.jar and
all dependencies. It is not fully backward-compatible but to begin new
it may be a good start. Please ask me if you need more informations.
