html rendering inside idempiere

hi,

just wondering how can i show html code in idempiere. i can achieve to show html code as nice html text or plain.

what i want.

1. setup html editor as default field for comment fields (big text areas)

2. show html code in record overview - show html editor in record edit mode.

3. show html content as plain text in list views

i found this https://idempiere.atlassian.net/browse/IDEMPIERE-563 as related topic. the issue is fixed but nice html is not visible basically.

is it compontent bug or need improvements or proper setup ?

I'm facing the same problem. It's very unconfortable for users to see html code on the windows fields.

I'm migrating from a large ADempiere Database and description fields appears with a huge amount of html tags.

There's a way to get by default the HTML editor directly inside a window (no only with right click and open editor)

current, a text area use for display (because user can edit online)

you can change display to http://books.zkoss.org/wiki/ZK_Component_Reference/Essential_Components/Html

let user change to edit mode when need.

Hi ,

Just as a proof of concept, i wrote a small WHTMLEditor example that I'm attaching here.

To get it running, just follow the http://wiki.idempiere.org/en/Developing_Plug-Ins_-_IEditorFactory_and_IDisplayTypeFactory tutorial and use the attached class as the editor.

Also a screenshot of how the "editor" is presented inside a window. To edit the content, just click on the area, then the HTML editor is opened.

Thanks for investigation, i want to share my experience from another sw. i have create a small step by step workflow, how they give end user best UX. Main point is inline html editor when user click to description field html editor appear (no popup) type, then save when click outside field.

we have it with support of ckeditor 4 (zk7 branch) http://docs.ckeditor.com/#!/guide/dev_inline 

because add a configuration for edit type. also consider read-only mode.

Is there any update here? I want to display the parsed Html code on the field. Right now its showing a bunch of tags which is not friendly.
