Hello. I dont really understand how this works. How do you download and apply a theme from the site?

Sign in and choose your scheme books on the website.
Install the color plugin on your intelliJ and sync with the website.
Change your color schemes as any other color schemes.
Settings -> Editor -> Colors & Fonts
