Hello Everyone,

If you want to learn and practice HOW TO STUDY , technique salon is the right place for you!

Last week XieMing showed us a GREAT example: we had a doubt about why there are different standards among computer monitor, TV screen, and electrical Power supply in different countries. Why these different standards in different fields are existing?

XieMing studied about this topic and presented his research results to us. We are amazed by both those interesting reasons and the way XieMing used to study. Both presenter and audience benefited from this kind of activity.

Hi,

It is really nice to read the topic of every technique salon's meeting. However, due to the family reason, it is a pity that I can not attend the meeting and join the discussion. Besides me, I guess there may be some other members who are interested, but can not participate for various reasons.

In order to follow the contents and discussions you had in each meeting, how about if we archive and share the slides/papers/documents/links among the salon members, and every member can access the documents presented in the previous meetings even though he did not participate in the discussion? Do you like the idea of information/document sharing? 

btw, there is a minor comment on the subject of the email. A correct expression of "11th week" is "the 11th week" or "week 11". :)

Share our PPT slides is a good idea, and we are starting to do it. One member of us collects all the ppt slides. We can think about a way to allow everyone can access them easily. Anyone has good idea?

Yes, google document is a great tool to share our presentations, but I don't know whether friends who don't use gmail can access it or not.

It is possible, I have sent permission to email addresses other than gmail boxes.

You may consider creating a "google sites" or a normal website to keep
all the docs. What's more, a webpage indicating all the links of the
files would make the others checking the docs easily. It's something
like a Source Code Repository..

Good point, for avoid the space limit, we don't need upload our presentation to google site. Instead, we can upload our .ppt file to website like slideshare.net or 豆丁网 or google Doc, and embed the link to google site.

social is always good... how about make a Tech-Salon social media site?
