Hi all,
Sorry that I didn't catch the first part this evening, but if you wish to visit Stavanger this summer, there are several good websites as below. Jiang Shuo is accredited for the info.

The best place to stay in the area is still Stavanger, after a bit refreshing of my mind.. I attached a map roughly showing you some typical places of interest in the area. Tau is blue pinned on the top right, and the blue lines give you a hint of the boat trip. But if you are willing to spend the whole day on the boat, you can also cover the long narrow strait streching from the blue line in the middle to the end of the map on the right.
