2025 News from Ithaca Dances of Universal Peace

Dear Dancing Friends,

As we face a New Year that, for many of us, is filled with uncertainty and concern, we invite you to join the Ithaca Dances of Universal Peace community as we travel the path ahead together. We intend for our circle to be a place where we can strengthen, uplift, and support each other.

In January 2025, the Ithaca DUP leadership team (Cheryl, Diane & Rukmini) will return to leading the Dances at the Foundation of Light. We will offer the Dances on the first Saturday night of odd-numbered months (January, March, May, September and November) at FOL, and will continue with the first Saturday night of even-numbered months (February, April, October and December) at the First Unitarian Society in downtown Ithaca. We will take the summer months (June, July & August) off, and hope you will consider joining us for our 33rd annual Ithaca Dance Gathering from June 19th to June 22nd at the beautiful Sky Lake Camp & Retreat Center in Windsor, New York. More details about our annual event will be available in the coming months.

Azad will be taking a break from leading the Dances in 2025. We wish him well. Todd Rose and Welcome Shalloway will continue to support our circle with their gifted musicianship.

Please join us on Saturday, January 4th at the Foundation of Light for our first circle of 2025! Our theme will be "We Begin..." Below is our 2025 schedule.
