Hello,
We have exciting news! In response to the Idaho licensure law, the Idaho RID board is pleased to announce that we have partnered with the Idaho Council for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CDHH) to increase professional development opportunities for interpreters around the state. CDHH recently submitted a budget proposal to the Idaho Legislature on our behalf. The proposal was accepted and signed by the governor. Following the legislature's approval, Idaho RID and CDHH signed an MOU and the Idaho RID professional development budget is now increasing by $8,000.00 annually. Idaho RID is exceedingly grateful to CDHH for this support!
The board is currently seeking feedback on how best to use these funds to benefit the most interpreters throughout the state of Idaho. We've created a survey that will be open until May 25th,
