I urge you to take time now to complete this survey, it is short and should take ~3 minutes. It will close at the end of the day on March 1. Click here to access the survey:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/VIMS11-12Winter Also, we are planning to have opportunities for panels and/or socials at the regional conferences. I believe I will be there to facilitate the meeting at the Region V conference in Honolulu. Please contact me if you are planning to attend and are interested in helping out. I welcome any thoughts about what would be useful and effective. My email address is elizagr...@yahoo.com, and my phone number is 503-489-7632. In the meantime, there are opportunities to join the conversation remotely. On Facebook, just search "RID Video Interpreter Member Section," and click join. PHOTO DRIVE
The RID Communications Department needs your help! As we work to develop materials to represent the organization, more and more we are finding that we need a larger variety of photos to feature in our materials. Since no one could better represent RID than our actual members, from now until Friday, February 17 we are doing a short photo drive. Please see the specifications below and help us get the word out. We would love for you to each participate as it would be great to highlight some of our wonderful volunteers, too.
RID Photo Drive Specifications:
- Ideal photos will feature members "in action." For certified or associate members this may be of them interpreting. For student members this may be of them studying with their ITP. Whatever your role is within the field, it is an important one and we want to be able to show all the different settings and situations in which RID members can be found.
- Higher resolutions photos preferred.
- Photo must be original and you must possess the rights to submit the photo to RID for use.
- Photo may appear with member name, credentials or membership level, and state.
- Photo submission constitutes agreement by the member and any other persons in the photo to RID for use and distribution in RID materials including but not limited to marketing, promotional and advocacy pieces, VIEWS and reports to the membership.
- Photos must be submitted by e-mail to LWA...@rid.org with "RID PHOTO DRIVE" in the subject line.
