Greetings to everyone--

I am amazed at how quickly my year is going by. I wanted to invite
all of you to send out classroom ideas to your colleagues that they
could use in their classrooms either before or after the holidays. I
added a few collegues to our list, but I know we are still missing
people. Let me know, and I can send them invites to join the group.

I would also like to see us read a simple short story together in the
Spring that some of us could use for Spanish practice and others could
use for their classrooms--any ideas?

Two quick ideas from me: For Christmas we spend the last day before
break out caroling around the school (in Spanish)--I ask who would
like to be sung to and only invade those classes. My classes sing to
other classes, office staff, counselors etc... and we always call the
superintendent and sing to her via telephone. We are very bad, but we
have a good time.

An idea I stole from my Dad... For Jan. 6th - the filling of shoes--my
students get their Holiday treat from me after break--they bring a
shoe for me to fill with goodies. It stays overnight and I put a
candy and a note in it. They have to write a Dear Reyes Magos letter
for the shoe.

Have a great week and enjoy your family and friends during break!

Heather
