Hi,
I tried to quantified channel intensity in ROI tab. It seems to work with "classical " area ROI. However with a ROI created from a thresholder, or with a ROI created thanks to the inclusion between 2 ROI, the exported files report zero in intensity. I thus checked that it was working with the "old" ROI statistics plugin, and there it's working. The export is bugging in ROI statistics plugin (text and spredsheet export), but we can copy paste the results in excel. Could you fix it for ROI tab ?
Thanks.
Lydia.

Hi Lydia,

I'm not sure to understand the problem. Do you mean the export XLS in ROI tab exports empty results ?
Something to know is that ROI tab calculations are asynchronous and so for larges ROI it can take sometime to compute the result. Did you checked the values were present in the ROI tab before exporting them ?

Hi Stephane,
I answer below to your questions. I join a screen capture that show that in the ROI tab (example with channel 2-T2):
- intensity for the classical Area ROI  are OK,
- wherease the threshold ROI, or the intersection ROI do not: ->0.
You can see that the ROI Statistics plugin find the right value for intensity for all kinds of ROI.
I join the excel file with one sheet corresponding to the export with ROI tab, and another sheet corresponding to the copy paste from the ROI statistics plugin (since the export is crashing the plugin).
What is strange is that ROI tab works for the first chanel (channel 2-T1) but not for all the other channels (T2, T3, and T4).

I hope it can help.
Lydia.

not empty it indicates 0 as in the ROI tab (see screen capture and excel file)

No it also displays 0 intead of 25 158 dor channel 2_T2 as indicated by ROI statistics plugin.

Hi Stephane,
I don't know if it can help, but it seem that ROI that works fine tArea ROI) in ROI tabs are C= infinite and T= infinite, whereas the one that do not work are labeled with C and T =1.
The ROI statistics bug of spreadsheet and text file export is now fixed.
Lydia.

Hi Lydia,

Indeed i realized that with your screen shot. Actually the ROI tab is correct and the ROI statistics is wrong.
If you attach the ROI to a specific channel then other channel statistics are empty as the ROI "is not present" on them.
If you want to have result for all channels you have to set the ROI C position to "ALL" instead, that is an expected behavior :-/
Glad the ROI Statistics bug is fixed by the way =)

Best,

Hi Stephane,
OK I can understand the logic but why ROI is attributed by default to channel1 and not to ALL Channel ?

I think that is a behavior of the plugin which generated the ROI, maybe because you restricted the plugin to work on a specific channel but indeed it can be a problem for analysis...
When you create a ROI manually the C, Z and T positions are always set to to "all" by default.
