Hi !

I want to draw some ROIs in 3D. I would like to choose the best solution to do this.
I find the SDK ROI3DMesh but i don't know if it's the best way to do and how to use this.

Could you tell me what's for you the best way ?

Best,
Guillaume.

Hi Guillaume,

This is a very important part on which we are actively working (I have a few prototypes up my sleeve, but none that I really like in terms of user experience). How would you like to do that best yourself?

Alexandre

Hi Alexandre !

Thank's for this fast reply !

I think that the best way may be something like you've done in 2D. A shape like a polygon and we can control it with some controls points. But it's quite difficutl to keep the control in 3D and to still visible.

For now, we use the thresholder and it's in accordance with what we want to do. But the ROI 3D will be an interesting feature for the future !

Thank's for your help

Best,
Guillaume.

Hi everyone,

I'm like Guillaume today we use the thresholder and then we use the active contour to have a better segmentation but in the future it could be a problem when we have a lack of signal

A way to do it Alexandre ?

As Icy is very close to the "very expensive Imaris" why not its way : doing some 2D ROI on different Z position and then link each other z section  (with a degree of smoothness) at the end it will give a 3D ROI like the thresholder for example.

Best
Nicolas
