Dear Stephane,

Sorry to bother you again, but I'm having a very troublesome problem.
When imaging using Micro-Manager the images seem to be opened in TIF format (I can't confirm but my pixel intensities can go up to over 5000) however when I copy an image made by Micro-Manager using either the IcyBufferedImage.copyData method or the screenshot button on the viewer, I get maximum pixel intensities of 255. I believe this indicates that the image is converted to a PNG?

This makes comparing intensities between images more difficult, but most importantly the loss of resolution going from an intensity range of 0 to over 5000 (not sure what the limit of MM images is for this), to 0-255 is troubling.

Any ideas how I could solve this issue and keep the same format of images when copying them?

Thank you very much,

Masoud Ramuz

Apologies, after further testing the copyData method doesn't seem to be the culprit. The screenshot button however still does this.

Hi Masoud,

The screen shot does it, that is expected as screen shot button just convert / flatten the image to a classic 8bit RGB image so you can save it to PNG / JPG easily :)
What do you want to do here ? you can use crop command to crop and maintain the original format.

Best,

- Stephane
