Rating is ready !

Hi,

During a meeting at ISBI 2012, 100% of the people present asked for rating of plugin (both dev and users).

We heard you, and here it is ! ...the rating section is now opened !

You can access it by going on the web page of any plugin. for example here: http://icy.bioimageanalysis.org/plugin/Script_Editor You can then rate the plugin using the right column.

Feel free to post here your remark about this new feature.

some extra details:

-There is one possible rating per people per plugin.
-There is a notice to explain that a rating is not a direct question to the author of a plugin
-You can modify your rating anytime.
-The author of a plugin cannot rate himself
-When you post a rating, the author receive an email containing your email to enable the contact, but in any case is better to use this support board to centralize help !
-This system replaces the old comment section

Glad to see that feature and very well done !
I would like to make a small suggestion: it would be nice to be able to remove a rate/comment :)

Great feature indeed, way to go!

My 2 cents: perhaps you could add the plugin version at the date of each comment (like in other similar systems on mobile phones).

Reason: sometimes (often) users indicate missing features in their comment, but when these changes are published in an update, there is no way to show it (comments cannot be replied to). And nobody reads the changelog which is even more hidden in the new page layout now ;)

That obviously raises the question: are previous commenters notified when a new comment is posted (or when the plugin they commented is updated)? That could also be handy...

Hi !

Maybe I could add the following: If one had post a rating on a plugin, he will receive an email per further updates... The problem is that it might lead to spam.
or I can put an icon 'send message to the guy who wrote the rating' at the bottom of the comment, and only available for the owner of the plugin !

I will wait for a few more comments to adapt the system

(I would like comments from people outside the icy team too :)
