Channels: Icy Micro-Manager vs Standalone Micro-Manager

We have a new system with a camera that can do colours and has multiple channels.

I'm wondering if there is any reason why the MM plugin for Icy doesn't do multiple channels, while the standalone MM it is based on does?

Is there any way to split the feed from such a camera up so it will be compatible in Icy?

Hi Jusme,

I think the problem comes from converting the dataset to Icy and as we don't have any color camera here (at least no one compatible with MM) to test we couldn't see how MM manager it internally and we probably have something wrong about it.

It would be useful for us to have one of this image acquired from your color camera saved in TIF format with the micro manager metadata file if possible :) Eventually we could fix the color camera support from it !

Ahh woops, looks like I had logged onto that computer the wrong gmail account before.

Anyway attached are the TIF files from 1. imageJ and 2. Icy using a Qimaging brand camera.

Is the metadata included within the TIF? Otherwise I'll look for it again tomorrow.

Hi Masoud,

Thanks for the images, is that color camera captured images from Micro-Manager ? as i can see only 1 channel on the "Image snap" example. Unfortunately the TIF file doesn't contains the MM metadata. You need to enable it in the micro-manager options :

Dear Jusme, Masoud,

We just uploaded a new version of Micro-Manager plugin for Icy trying to add support for color camera but we did it 'blindly' from Masoud files (thanks again) so consider it as experimental. Your feedback is welcome and can help us to improve / fix the plugin if needed :) Thanks.
