Issues with IRB file import

Dear Developers of EVA and ICY.

Great tool. I am missing urgently scientific user friendly image analysis toolboxes like this one.
I have a whole bunch of IRB files from VarioCAM measurement campaign we would like to reuse.
I tried the EvaIrbImporter. The files I have should be in the needed format of 1024*768. At least I
would understand the error message which pops up after trying to open such a file. Please find attached a screenshot
on this.

Do you have any idea? I would also be interested in reuse your java code of this model and the byte identification you do there for these images already.
Would it be easy to debug this problem by myself? Any ideas/recommendations how to procede would be great. How to sort my workflow here!

I have some experiences in coding in Fortran, Python and Bash and extensive knowledge in Linux/compilation etc..
Thus not that much in appropriate languages here like C, C++ or Java but at least grasping any ideas will not that difficult on my side.
