active contours - separating touching cells, it should work!

Hiya,

I am using active contour to segment cells from a movie (as part of a longer protocol) and I am having troubles segmenting touching cells, though in theory, it should work.
I have attached a screenshot of the active contour parameters I used (though I did play a lot around) but basically, it does not work.
Even if i add an edge weight...
any ideas? I am happy to upload as well a small movie if that can help, I am at my wits'end

Hi Debora,

Uploading an image sample could help as parameters are very sensitive and dependent from the image.

Also it looks like your screenshot is not the one you wanted to attach ^^
