My name is Akiyoshi Saito. I am currently pursuing a Master?s
of Business Administration and Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
program at Oregon State University.
I believe that you talked to my EPM manager, Takuya, about my
internship at Daikin in CZECH REPUBLIC. I am interested in working
with your company as an intern during this summer, and I am willing to
work hard to contribute to your company. I was a branch sales manager
at a Japanese electric company called NOJIMA Denki. One of our
suppliers was Daikin and we had successful business with them. Before
being promoted to a sales manager, as a salesperson, I sold many
Daikin air conditioners. Sometimes I worked with Daikin sales
associates to increase Daikin sales in my branch. Customers loved
Daikin air conditioners not just for the quality but also the
affordable price Daikin offers to the consumers.
As your company?s requirement of my academic background, I
strongly believe that I am qualified for this internship. I have taken
financial and managerial accounting classes at OSU. In managerial
accounting class, I have studied production costs management,
breakeven point analyses and so on. I am currently taking financial
management classes this term, which is going to conclude in 4 weeks.
In this class, I am mainly learning capital budgeting and financial
planning. I have also taken some accounting classes at my bachelor
university in Japan. As shown on my CV, my undergraduate was
economics; I am confident to say that I am able to meet your
requirements in Economics, Introductory Economics, Macroeconomics, and
Microeconomics.
As a requirement of personal skill, I am also convinced that I
am able to meet every requirements of your company. In MBA courses
here at OSU, every class has a group project and group presentation.
Fortunately, my MBA program is very diverse which gave me many
opportunities to work with people of different backgrounds. With this
experience and my sales management experience, I have learned ways to
manage a group. As for presentation skills, I have received high
scores on all my MBA presentations. I was also a MC (in English) at
Japanese cultural night in front of an audience of 300, and I did not
have any difficulties with public speaking. I worked for Investment
Group at OSU as an analysis, which manages $ 1 million and made a
profit of $200,000 in 14 months. This experience allows me to have
computer, professional and financial management skills.
I have learned that your company is looking for an intern beginning in
September. Unfortunately, my CPA program is inflexible, thus I have to
start my classes beginning at the end of September. However, I am
available from middle of June to middle of September. During this
period, I am willing to be flexible for your company?s convenience. I
am extremely interested in learning accounting and financing. This
internship will accelerate me to achieve my future career of working
the area of accounting and financing. I am also willing to contribute
to your company through my knowledge, experience and strong work
ethic.
