When your promotional space expires, your Dropbox space quota returns to what it was before. For example, if you have a Dropbox Basic account, your limit returns to 2 GB (along with any space you earned by referring people to Dropbox or through other promotions).
For eligible devices that have the Dropbox application installer pre-loaded, the promotion is available to the user on that device who (a) first signs up for a new Dropbox account and (b) completes Dropbox's Get started guide. The promotion is for a single Dropbox account to receive, for 1 year, an additional 25 GB of storage space in addition to the storage space Dropbox offers to users with free accounts. Each user is only eligible for one promotion of this type. The promotion may not be available to users who have previously received a Dropbox promotion through the purchase of a non-eligible device. When the 1 year promotional period ends, the 25 GB of promotional space added to the user's Dropbox service will be automatically removed. Use of Dropbox is subject to the Dropbox Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and other terms available at Promotion not available in China, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, or the region of Crimea, or any other countries where the Dropbox Service is prohibited by law.

How can I turn off these prompts? I've gone through my notification settings on my desktop and online settings, and can't seem to turn off some of the Dropbox prompts that I'm continuing to get thru my desktop Dropbox notifications. These include:

Do you mean to "click them away" once they're on the desktop? Yes, I can do that. I posted this because I don't want them to appear, period. They're not part of the list that's in the Dropbox settings for notifications. They're some other layer of notifications that have started showing up once I updated.
Please stop your stupid screen grabs - I HATE IT. I dont care about upgrading dropbox - Only thing I am going to do is delete it, its the only obnoxious notification I get - and I run windows! Please turn it off, or let me turn it off for ever.
I and many other people do not need or want yet another sneaky end run around the spam laws that prohibit unsolicited email. Which is what this is - since it's a "notification" not an email, there's no need to follow any laws about it and therefore no way to disable it.
I want to back up to dropbox, but it isn't an available location as a selection option. Quicken's promotion with Dropbox appears in a side panel, but when I try to activate it, I get a message the code has already been used. How do I get around that?
Even though you have a Dropbox account Quicken won't recognize it if you don't have the Dropbox app installed on your computer. Do you have the Dropbox app installed on your computer? Is it visible on your desktop? Is it visible in the apps on your computer? (click the Windows icon in the taskbar and select "all apps" which will be listed alphabetically. As an alternative, go into "settings" and select "apps" and then "installed apps" which are also listed alphabetically.)
Once installed, it should appear when you attempt a backup. If you backup to a USB thumb/flash drive, that drive will appear when you insert it into a USB port, and when you eject the drive after a backup, it will no longer appear as a backup source. The same applies to Dropbox except you are not inserting anything into a USB port.
Do you already have a dropbox account created? If so, you may need to get it set up on your computer so that Quicken can see it and give you the option to backup to it. You may find this article useful for getting Dropbox set up on your computer:
Thanks, Kristina. I have a Dropbox account. The problem is that Quicken doesn't launch a Dropbox backup destination for any backup request. I think I need Quicken to give me another promotion code so I can have a Dropbox account linked to Quicken. How do I get this? Does anyone from Quicken monitor these posts?
Thanks, Keeper. Dropbox Promo appears in "all apps," but it isn't listed on the available apps when I hit the "change" button for backup locations. If anyone has a solution for that, I'd love to hear it.
