Greetings from UCSI University!
The Faculty of Management and Information Technology sponsored by Canon Marketing (Malaysia) and supported by the Ministry of Science, Technology & Innovation (MOSTI), is organising the National BizVid Challenge 2011/2012. Open to all full-time students in the public and private Institutions of Higher Learning (IHLs) throughout Malaysia, this Competition themed Lively Creative Commercial Ideas, aims to cultivate creativity among students in utilising technology and social media to commercialise businesses.
Required to produce and distribute a 2 to 3-minute viral video to commercialise a business product or service, each participating team will have the opportunity to work closely with their chosen companies to understand their business values and requirements before producing the videos. Subsequently, the five-best participating teams will advance to the final round to create a viral video with Canon Legria Camcorder based on a given theme. They will then showcase their commercial ideas before a panel of prominent judges.
On behalf of the National BizVid Challenge Committee Board, it is our great pleasure to invite you to propose teams to participate in this national level Competition. Participating teams will stand a chance to win great prizes, attend workshops and even an internship opportunity at New York, USA! In the meantime, the first registered team from each IHL will be given a free workshop conducted by MOSTI on 6 Dec 2011 to 7 Dec 2011 at Putrajaya International Convention Centre. Other than that, Canon Marketing (Malaysia) as the Main Sponsor will be offering 100 units of HF-M41/M400 at 40% off Normal price for the first 100 registered teams who wishes to utilize Canon Cameras as their main shooting tools.
