Hi all you incredible "with-it" teachers,

I am doing the keynote and a long presentation at the e-schools conference
(http://www.conf2008.school.za/) and would like you to join me on the day(s)
(either physically or virtually) to show/tell everybody there how YOU are
using Web 2.0 tools (wiki's podcast, blogs, twitters etc) practically with
your learners or for professional development. I will during the keynote
give everybody a quick overview of the Why we should use web 2 tools in
support of learning and will keep it simple (for me ;-)) by keeping to
twitter and Mxit ; and for my longer presentation I would like to showcase
some of what you guys are doing! I am planning to have 2 people on stage
with me to twitter and Mxit the session (any volunteers? Otherwise I will
have to use some digital natives....) and would really appreciate it if you
would either follow the twitter and comment/ask questions via twitter (if
you attend virtually) or if you will be at the conference, to twitter the
sessions for those who virtually attend. I think if we MODEL/showcase some
ACTUAL real life applications of these tools, that it will make sense to
teachers and get their buy in! Please incorporate "esnsa" as a marker in
your twitter (or @esnsa) so that we can trace your twitters.

Then for my web 2.0 long presentation session I am planning to go through
some tools with great possibilities for teaching and learning (delicious,
diigo, a few cool wiki examples, blogs, podcasts, videocasts, twitter,
Facebook etc ) and this is where I need some real input as I would like to
showcase some of the amazing things you are doing real-time. I am going to
twist Carolyn's arm to show us what she is doing with her primary school
learner wiki and blog (she will be there F2F) and Wilna (form JHB) to show
us how she is using Facebook with her maths, CAT and IT classes. Eugene
(KZN) will be showcasing our SASCHOOLS wiki and Pam is also doing great
things. If there are some of you doing amazing things, please let me know,
then I can include you. I am hoping to use WIZIQ and/or Skype to link up
with you, which will bring you "virtually" into the presentation.

But we will need to "play" beforehand to make sure that everything goes
smoothly. So I have scheduled a virtual meeting in WIZIQ for us for next
Wednesday at 8h00 (GMT+2) our time to have a ball. Please let me know if
