Subject: new Educational Psychology, Measurement, & Evaluation program at University of Louisville
To: Saad Chahine <
saad.c...@gmail.com>
A new program in Educational Psychology, Measurement, and Evaluation
(EPME) has been established at the University of Louisville. Housed in
the Department of Educational and Counseling Psychology, the program is
aimed at students who are interested in conducting educational research
in a variety of contexts, including academia, private research
foundations, government agencies, and foundations. It prepares students
to enhance the knowledgebase of educational research and assessment by
synthesizing interdisciplinary coursework, training, and fieldwork to
answer the question of what works in schools – as well as how, under
what conditions, and for whom.
The EPME program was constructed to provide students with a
"toolbox" of advanced theoretical, methodological, and statistical
skills; rich, applied research experiences in complex educational
settings, specifically school reform settings; intensive faculty
mentoring; a systemic awareness of educational policy and reform
contexts; and professional development opportunities. All experiences
in the program are focused on the comprehension and solution of problems
using large datasets and real districts, schools, and classrooms as
mechanisms for learning.
Applications are due January 15 for full consideration or February
28 if financial assistance is not requested and space is still available
in the program.
More information about the program and the application process can be found at the program’s website:
