Dear colleagues,

I hope you started the week well. Ingunn and I are very happy to share the news that we managed to open a fully funded PhD position in the field of creativity, learning and technology (with a focus on the study of innovative educational technologies) at the University of Bergen. The prospective student would work with us to examine - qualitatively and quantitatively - student and teacher uses of technology and the ways they foster (and sometimes inhibit) creativity, imagination, wonder and serendipity in the classroom.

I wanted to send you this call in priority and kindly ask you if you have an excellent master student who is graduating soon and might be interested to direct them to this call. The conditions in Norway are excellent for PhD students and we will certainly make everything possible for this to be a rewarding experience. Knowing a Scandinavian language would be an advantage but it’s not mandatory as English is widely spoken in Norway. Oh and of course Bergen is a gorgeous town with a lot of wonderful nature around!

We are happy to answer questions if you direct anyone our way - the deadline for applications is 10th of September.

Thank you in advance for your help (and apologies for cross-positing, you will probably receive news about this position from multiple sources).

Best wishes,
Vlad and Ingunn
