Hello Everyone!

We are hoping to have a school garden produce booth again at the Iowa City Farmer's Market on Kid's Day, Sept. 19th. We have a table but still need student gardeners, donated produce and an adult or two to assist the kids. Please let me or Jenny Mettemeyer know if you can be involved! We will need the produce by 9 AM, preferably by 8:45 AM, but kids can come and help anytime! If you can donate but can't be there on Saturday, we can try to arrange transportation.

We also could use a canopy for the table if you have one.

Thanks so much!

Hello Everyone,

The times in the subject are WRONG- so sorry about that. Kid's Day runs 9 AM to Noon on Saturday. And the weather looks to be fantastic!

Our booth will be in a NEW LOCATION this year- on the sidewalk along the parking garage. Since Scott from Soilmates won't be able to attend, he is letting us use his canopy. (Thanks, Scott- you will be missed!)

There will be other kid vendors next to us. All the activities in the park this year are free, educational and fun.

We have recruited 3 City High students (thanks, Kristin!) to provide some leadership to the booth, but we still need younger kids to volunteer and need donations from school gardens.
Volunteers can come at any point from 9-Noon and spend as much time as they want at the booth. As usual, the kids will arrange the produce, come up with prices and manage sales- 100% run by kids.
Donations- we accept everything and might even be able to arrange pick-up this year. All gardens represented will be promoted at the booth.

Please let me or Jenny Mettemeyer know if you can be involved!
