Location: Dallas, TX – Hybrid – 2-3 days onsite

Duration: Long term

 

 

Job Order Intake Call Notes:

• The notes mention that the company is currently in the midst of an ERP project scheduled to go live on December 4th.
• As part of this project, the data architect will need to gather data from three different instances, namely B.P.E.C.S. (two versions), Oracle E.B.S., and M.S. Dynamics Finance, and dump it into a data lake.
• This person must have experience with Azure Data Lake and MS Azure Synapse.
• Once this phase of the project is complete, they will need a PowerBI person to come in and help visualize the data and build out dashboards.
• It would be highly preferred if this person was bilingual (Spanish), but not required.  

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This role will be responsible for evaluating, setting, and maintaining the technical aspects of Triarc’s data that is part of the ERP systems as well as oversight of the Business Intelligence and Reporting Systems.  The Data and Reporting Specialist works closely with business stake holders and leaders to define functional and technical needs for systems data to support the business.

• Define data extraction from legacy systems and separation of legacy vs current data
• Architect data repository for extracted legacy data
• Define data mapping tables and relationships
• Build structured or semi-structured data repositories
• Build analytics layer using Microsoft Power B.I.
• Set performance and storage standards based on data volume, I/O needs, capacity, and scalability
• Set ETL from three sources to a D.W. or Data Lake as well as reporting across sources
• Define requirement for B.I. and reporting systems based on available functionality and systems to fulfill those needs
• Lead or participate on integration projects for ERP and/or B.I. and reporting systems
• Operate as steward of central B.I. system ensuring that we only have the reports that are adding value to the business and remove all unused reports
• Be a key contributor to integration projects where applicable to ensure that functional and technical aspects of systems data are within the scope of the integration projects
• Business acumen with manufacturing concepts
• Communicate with business users, determining needs and finding business-centric solutions while uncovering business value on the solutions
• Seek business solutions by learning the business and the value proposition of systems
• Reach out to vendors and consultants to augment functional or technical gaps
• Operated as a line of support for ERP-related administrative data work
• Document System specifications based on chosen architecture and processes
• Participate on ERP meetings and technical development meetings and provide data-centric view and visibility targets based on ley processes and requirements

 

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of Azure, Azure Containers, Azure Shares, Azure Synapse as well as M.S. Power Apps and Power B.I.
• Proficiency in relevant software and database systems such as MS SQL, SQL Queries, and SSRS
• Proficient with D.B. Schemas and ETL
• Proven communication skills across all organization levels including upper management
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, intellectual curiosity, and organizational skills
• Understanding of I.T. principles and ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to varied audience
• Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality required
• Ability to read and understand technical documents and requirements
• Excellent organization, prioritization, and multitasking skills
• Work effectively as part of a team and provide advice and feedback to team
• Strong listening skills – attentive to the details, ask clarifying questions and help problem solve

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3+ years of relevant experience required, in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Batchelor’s Degree on relevant technical of business-centric field, or equivalent required
• Experience working with various reporting systems (MS SQL with Power B.I. Required)
• Experience with one or more of the following ERP systems a plus: Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle E.B.S., B.P.C.S.
• Knowledge of basic Financials, Operations/Production, and Supply Chain a plus
• Bilingual (with Spanish as a second language) a plus
