Matt is cool, quiet, and aloof. Mou is cheerful and noisy. Mou's mother asks Matt to be Mou's protector. Since he was young, Matt felt annoyed by Mou's loudness. But he eventually got used to it and became her good friend, and introduced her to everyone as his sister.
Matt forbids Mou from dating because he knows that dating will make her forget about studying and lose focus on her ambition to continue her education and get a scholarship to London. Mou has an admirer, Reza (Irsyadillah). They become close. When introduced, Matt shows his dislike for Reza, who he thinks is 'too good to be true'. This time, Mou feels that her love for Reza is serious. She wants Matt to approve of him too. Therefore, Mou sets up Matt with Retha (Josephine Firmstone), Reza's cousin. A love square ensues. However, Reza suddenly disappears without a trace. Mou suspects that Matt is hiding something.
