Despite our repeated warnings, many students are still asking us to withdraw their applications after signing the IAFs. Please note that before the deadline, you can unsign the IAF.
AFTER THE DEADLINE OF AN IAF IS OVER, YOU CANNOT WITHDRAW YOUR APPLICATION UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES
After the deadline, many students ask us to withdraw their applications either when the shortlist is out and sometimes even after results are declared. THIS IS A VIOLATION OF THE INTERNSHIP POLICY AND MUST STOP IMMEDIATELY.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Many students have done their winter internships during December and want it to be reflected into their resumes. The window for updating of resumes will be opened during January and it will be announced shortly. However, there will be companies scheduled before that announcement is made. If any THIRD YEAR student wishes to update his/her resume before signing a particular IAF, please send your resumes to any one of the following IDs, clearly mentioning your roll number and resume type (One page, 2-page tech or 2-page non-Tech):
Please DO NOT send it to any other ID. [No need to send it to all the three IDs and DO NOT CC to any other ID]
If the internship was secured through Internship Cell, the proof of internship is not necessary. If it was secured on your own, please attach a scanned copy of the certificate.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Also, it has been noticed that not many people are applying for IAFs as expected. There has been a considerable decline in the number of applications compared to last year. Please understand that just because last year XYZ got selected in ABC company/university, it doesn’t make sense to wait for that company/university and let go all other opportunities. The selections depend on a lot of factors like the time of the IAF, the person who is shortlisting, the market situation, company’s vision, applications of other students etc. It is also likely that a company that came last year may not come this time round. So, please do not take decision thinking about last year’s selections as every batch of students is unique. Also, please do not take up an internship solely based on it’s stipend. Two years down the line, the stipend won’t matter but the experience and the work will.
