I'm still wondering when the school is beginning to apply common sense and reason in assessing the rules guiding the access to the campus...

It is absolutely ridiculous to watch how the campus is almost completely empty - most parents and teachers have left - and the school still acts like the few families in Addis are zombies...

It is about time to adjust the strict rules and make it easier for families to access the campus on a short notice and for more than just one hour at the time.

What are the arguments against it?

I totally agree with Andreas, and understand his frustration.
I am visiting the Campus everyday and see the campus is always almost empty with only few people.
I don't understand why the access is allowed only for one hour, and between 4 pm and 6 pm, and must be reserved in advance.
Also, the accessible area must be expanded to include the play ground area.
In addition, I believe the access must be allowed in a more flexible way, especially now that the COVID-19 situation in Ethiopia has improved significantly
compared to the period when the closure decision was made.
The absolute number of new cases as well as the rate of new cases compared to the tested cases has been dropping significantly.
Especially, the summer vacation period has been approaching, the campus must be more easily and readily accessible to the families in Addis Ababa.
Regards.

Thank you Andreas and Dr. Cho for your feedback and suggestions.  We have been opening up more and more hours and spaces on our campus since the campus closure in April.  We started the program with limited hours between 4-6PM on weekdays, we expanded these hours and are now at 1-6PM on weekends.  We have also opened up the EY playground for our youngest learners.

We will continue to monitor the program, extend hours and will determine a summer schedule soon.

There are many more green spaces that have opened up this year.  As an alternative your kids could check out:
