Dear Dr. Stuart, ICS Board, and Executive Leadership Team,
Please find attached a letter from ICS parents requesting reconsideration of the school’s plan to close campus to in-person learning for all students; specifically, we ask that you consider modifying this plan for our youngest learners, in the Early Years and Elementary School grades, so that they can continue to learn in-person in some form. The letter contains the details of our request, the logic behind it, and signatures of 70 ICS families (representing 120+ ICS students) who are collectively and respectfully making this appeal.
We also wish to express our sincere gratitude for all that ICS has done to enable our children to learn in person for nearly 120 days in the midst of this extraordinary school year - clearly the result of great effort and great creativity by ICS leadership, administrators, faculty, and staff. We are therefore confident that, if the administration is willing to engage with us parents around this and seriously consider our request, together we can surely find a way to continue to allow for some form of in-person learning for our youngest learners, at least.
We thank you in advance for seeing us as your constituents and engaging with us around this request, and we look forward to hearing back from you soon.
Kind regards,
- the undersigned ICS parents
