Dear ICS,

I have just received reports of an explosion in Addis.

Ahuda Television: a man who detonated a bomb under the Adwa Bridge was arrested on Wednesday morning, November 11, Yeka Sub City.
A member of the unit saw several police officers gathered at the scene; Evidence suggests that the bomb went off unharmed and that the bomber has been injured.
Next to the bridge where the bombing took place is the residence of members of the Defense Forces, along with the Addis Ababa Police Commission's Adwa Bridge area

This has me very concerned on the safety of children at school. Is it not a good idea that during this time all kids move over to online schooling or what safety assurances can the school give during these very unpredictable times?

Yes, we are aware of the bombing and had early reports yesterday morning when the event happened. Our security team with our security partners are in constant communication.  Our students and our campus are safe.  We continue to monitor the situation and will keep our community informed when concerns arise that affect our campus and the security of our students.  We hope you received the email late last night about the demonstrations around Addis that may impact traffic.
