Linear Actuators

Hi Everyone,

We have a number of linear guides and actuators that we no longer have space for in our lab because of a recent move. We would be quite happy to donate them to the Robotics society if there is interest.

They were used previously on an industrial robot so are quite large and powerful. I will dig out specs and photos for anyone that wants a look.

Yes we would be interested, though we should see some pictures to see what we are getting ourselves into, as we are space limited ourselves. Things that would be interesting to know:

 

What power supply they need.

 

Stroke length.

 

Roughly how large/ heavy they are.

 

What control protocol they use.

Yep Monday at 2pm is fine. We are now located in Room 141 in Mech Eng which requires card access. So if we meet by the clock in Mech Eng (just by the entrance from the walkway), I can take you from there.
