Perfect sense. The problem isn't the LAN but rather a limit of the
software. ICQ does not detect IP address changes even if you select the
Connection option of being behind a firewall as in the U.S most
firewalled computers are on fixed IP addresses so its not an issue ICQ
have ever addressed. I leave mine on "Modem" connection instead of
Permanent/Lan so therefore when it hopefully detects no connection to
the ICQ server it drops out and goes offline itself.
