Yep :-)
You can make any of those "forced" items on your Favorites menu (like IE's
"Links" and "Media" folders) go away. Simply open up your Favorites folder
from the Explorer (c:\windows\favorites, for most of us), select the
offending item, and use the Properties dialog to set it to Hidden.
That way, it doesn't show in your menu, and won't get recreated all of the
time.
Possible caveat: I have no idea what will happen should ICQ, or any other
program, ever try to put a file in the directory it expects there. I haven't
experimented with copy/create operations in Hidden folders. Probably OS
dependent.
