Dear DDI Community,
The voting period for Version 2.6 of DDI-Codebook concluded on Tuesday, March 31. The vote passed with participation from 15 of 22 Designated Member Representatives (68% turnout). All votes cast supported the statement: “YES, the validity and usefulness of Version 2.6 has been demonstrated, and it should be accepted as part of the DDI standard.”
About DDI-Codebook Version 2.6 DDI-Codebook is a metadata standard for defining a single study, including its variables, files, source materials, and basic study information. Version 2.6 is the next incremental update, focused on improving consistency, clarity, and interoperability without introducing disruptive changes. Next Steps The Technical Committee will finalize the specification for publication. A separate announcement will be shared once Version 2.6 DDI-Codebook has been formally published.
