MPAWG Meeting Invitation: MIME Types for DDI – 25 March 2026, 16:00 CET

Dear DDI community,

The recent discussion on whether DDI metadata standards need MIME types (https://groups.google.com/g/ddi-developers/c/kMS6k-4oLxY/m/8iBOJHvMAwAJ) helped prompt the formation of the Metadata Publication and Access Working Group (MPAWG).

MIME types appear relevant, especially for FAIR signposting and a future RESTful DDI API.

In that discussion, Paul Libbrecht noted (https://groups.google.com/g/ddi-developers/c/vf3SqRAPi2E/m/ELuiAd2MCgAJ) that he has registered media types for MathML. We are pleased that he will join our next meeting to share his experience with the registration process.
