Ihave the RF2000 amplifier and used to own the pre-amp. This one doesn't have the rack mounting nor the "pro" Mic. type inputs. It works ok and I'm using it in bridged mono mode. There is some static sound heard when output is low. Anybody have a service manual connection to share. I think it is a problem with the RCA inputs...thanks.

There is next to no info and definitely no service manuals to speak of for these. What you find online is pretty much it. I have a schematic for one and some very basic info I can attach I think. What worked for me was replacing all of the smaller electrolytic caps on the main board and power supply board and I left the two large ones alone. Some of the caps you won't be able to find so you just step them up slightly in voltage and capacitance an call it good. Once these finally quit working or the MOSFET's fail, they'll make pretty decoration I guess. I hardly use mine since I have the new Onkyo Reference amp and my Carver M-1.0t amp.

That would have been the Alpine 7347 if you are talkin mid to late 80's. Nice cassette deck. I ran a Nakamichi TD-700 with the Alpine 3015 Computer Equalizer in that time frame with a pair of Alpine 3502 amplifiers.

Do not know how much of the Rockford home gear was inspired by Acoustat. Rockford purchased them and moved the operation from Florida. The Acoustat TNT-200 and TNT-400 were high current amplifiers for driving the low efficiency and low impedance electrostatic speakers they were known for.

Replaced most all of the small electrolytic on the power supply board and main board over the last few days. I didn't replace the two 42,000uf PS caps though. Most all of the caps were 15 to 20% over spec but there were a couple that didn't even read on my Fluke. That would explain why one channel had kind of worked and the other was noisy.

Yes, mine is the rack mount version. Last summer, there was a guy on e b a y that was selling "new old stock RF faceplates" for these amps so I bought one. When I received it, it was just the faceplate with NO silk screening on it like the pictures showed. I was bummed. lol

This mod gives your 1.0t a much higher power rating, more headroom, less commutation distortion, better current sourcing and performance into low impedance loads, and tighter bass and transient control. This mod includes replacement of all consumable parts, reflow of questionable solder, the thump fix, all service bulletins, new 5-way binding posts, cleaning inside and out. Amp is burnt-in and thoroughly tested against factory specs, as well as upgraded specs.

This mod has been performed by Richard Pecoraro and Greg Garska of carvermk2.com for years (since 2008) and has proven to be one of the most powerful, musical, and reliable Carver amps around. Do not trust Ebay copycat 'techs' - we are the only authorized techs that perform this sophisticated upgrade and stand behind it. All the services, kits and retro-fit boards found on Ebay were stolen and used without permission. For all of the work and improvements done, this is by far one of the best deals in the industry.

The original bias network (black) allows the bias point to drift as temperature increases. Addition of a complimentary transistor and network (red) counteracts this drift, and maintains the bias set point. As a result, heatsink temperatures are reduced by 10 degrees F.

High grade polypropylene capacitors are installed in critical areas to maintain proper signal conditions while under heavy loads or heat stress. While the amplifier is extremely resistant to trouble caused by noisy or heat stress conditions, this upgrade will take it a step further to increase the amp's performance in demanding circumstances.

(High Rail capacitor board. Unlike the hobbyist PCB that lays flat against the PCB on Ebay, this board does not interfere with the sensitive components on the main PCB and keeps the capacitors elevated for much better thermal cycling and electrical isolation. This board option also reduces the over-all noisefloor of the amplifier.)

(*Unusual damage such as cracked circuit boards, burns, excessive corrosion and other extremes are not covered. If you are not sure of the extent of the damage, please send pictures for evaluation. Cosmetic damage is also not part of 'repairs'. We clean and polish the units as best we can, but we do not restore paint, correct scratches, remove stains or reform dents. Please see Restoral Services for more information on cosmetics.)

Hi Nelion Audio,

My recently modified/ upgraded Carver M1.0t has arrived and I've listened, and I am very pleased with its performance. Thank you for packing it so well. It's a long trip from Alaska to Michigan and back. The IEC power socket is a big plus. I'm glad I chose that option, along with the Mark II and the opt002. I'm still listening to the amp and it reveals itself as a magnificent piece of gear. I'm hoping to get many many more years of use from the amp. I give you a 5 star rating because your expertise has taken this amp to a new level. Thank You very very much.

I updated my Carver M1.0t back in October 2015 to MKII opt002. It is still going strong and the backbone of my system. No thumps, no thermal issues, no hum, just great music. Seems like I just updated it, but it's been over 8 years. A very worthwhile and enjoyable investment!

I received the amp with the opt 002 extra and am super pleased! Not only did the overhaul fix a dead amp at no additional cost, but the sound is tighter and the power even more endless (if that is possible with Carver amps). My sloppy old rock and roll speakers now sound like the music. I really appreciate the attention to detail: all of the exterior screws on the bottom are new and shiny (even if they won't be seen again for a decade) and the case was cleaned to spotless. Great work, Nelion Audio!

Every function has been confirmed 100% working. We have cleaned it inside and out and replaced any worn parts. A recap was performed if necessary. All pots, knobs, connectors and boards have been cleaned with Deoxit cleaner.

For a couple of years, I have been looking for a replacement for my Toshiba DVD Recorder that was starting to break down. I had placed four orders with Amazon....3 of the recorders did not work and had to be returned, the fourth order was canceled by the seller before shipping with no explanation. An internet search brought me to spencertified.com and I found a refurbished Toshiba recorder similar to the one I was using. Without high expectations, I placed another order with them. SpenCertified let me know when my order was placed and kept me fully updated during the shipping process. The recorder arrived in about 4 days (much quicker than I anticipated) and works perfectly. The box included the recorder, remote and users' manual and advertised. I am very satisfied with my experience with SpenCertified and plan to order additional equipment from them. I highly recommend them.

I was totally amazed with the speed of delivery for my order. Ordered on May 4 and received on May 8! It was very thoughtful of them to email me to offer assistance and to ensure I was happy with my purchase. Great Job!

Being a senior who refuses to give up VCR'S, I was in a panic because my last one died and no one sells them anymore in CA. Luckily I discovered SpenCertified, and will never have to worry again. I can't begin to tell you how pleased I am with the fantastic service they provide. My sets arrived in a timely manner, extremely well wrapped and the friendly emails offering any help were appreciated. I will continue to do business with them in the future and plan to refer them to all my friends. Thank you, guys... YOU CAN BUY WITH CONFIDENCE.

When my beloved VCR died, I discovered new ones were not being manufactured as before. All my tapes, collected over many years - - lost!? All future recordings - - lost!? What to do? Then, I discovered SpenCertified. I was wary. Was this a scam? I was afraid. Would my purchase truly be guaranteed? I wanted, I NEEDED, a working VCR, so I made my order. The packaging was perfect, the VCR was even better than advertised, Spencer was extremely helpful. I am a very satisfied customer.

I just got my vhs dvd player in the mail. I was so impressed how well they kept me informed about it. When i got it it was well packaged no problems. We hooked it up and works great. Thank you so much will do buisness again.
