Dear All,
The Institute of Corrosion Aberdeen branch is pleased to announce our first monthly technical event in 2023-2024 Session (online only) which will be held at 18:00 (UK Time) on Tuesday 26th September 2023.
We welcome Alyshia Keogh of the University of Manchester ; who will be presenting "Effect of Microstructure on the Localised Corrosion and Atmospheric Stress Corrosion Cracking of 15-5PH Stainless Steel ” at the September 2023 Technical session on Tuesday 26th September 2023. It will be an annual joint ICorr - TWI (The Welding Institute).
This research work is aimed at enhancing the mechanistic understanding of pitting and atmospheric-induced stress corrosion cracking (AISCC) of 15-5PH stainless steel; by establishing links between microstructural features and susceptibility to such phenomena.
The event is "Free" to attend.
Note that this will be an online presentation.
