Dear All,
We are very pleased to share that the MCF Meeting on Wednesday 6th July 2022 will be held at the National Motorcycle Museum near to Birmingham Airport.
To accommodate some MCF Members who do not wish to travel, there will also be a live streaming ‘virtual’ provision for this meeting.
We are making this meeting, unusually, open and free of charge to all interested parties, including our friends and colleagues in the Institute of Corrosion and those active in the offshore renewables industries.
This meeting includes Birit Buhr the Corrosion Protection lead for Oersted, one of the world’s leading renewable energy companies, who was Project Manager for the development of the new ISO 24656, Cathodic Protection of Offshore Wind Foundations and Lars Lichtenstein who is the Corrosion Protection lead for DNV ‘s renewable energy sector responsible to the 2021 revisions to DNV-RP-0416, Corrosion protection for wind turbines.
This Standard and the RP represent major changes in the requirements and improved guidance for corrosion protection, coatings and cathodic protection in the offshore renewable sector. This is an important opportunity for you to learn what impacts these will have in offshore corrosion protection.
You will need to register at:
