SVG files created with Adobe Illustrator don't load.
Using the thousands of online free PNG to SVG converters don't work neither because all they do is convert it to an Illustrator format SVG.
makes it literally - unusable at all.

Your statement is wrong. It depends on the SVG. Please see the importing guidelines. If you still couldn't resolve the problem, provide a sample SVG and I'll take a look.
