Unicode Support Gone?

Hi thanks for this wonderful resource of icons. I have used the demo previously, and was provided with some Unicode in the form of (&#xe1ef;) which i was able to use the create icons by doing something like this <span data-icon="&#xe001;"></span>.

I went to add a few more icons to my .svg file, and downloaded the new file but the unicode that is provided in the demo doesn't seem to be working like it used too.

I tried to create a new icon in the same way my old icons were created, but now there is just a blank area where the icon should be.

Do you know what may be causing this?
