No display at certain sizes, but only in Firefox 24 PC / Chrome 29.01547.76

This is really throwing me. I have a font that displays fine on all the Mac clients and IE on PC, but Chrome and FF on PC some sizes disappear. I have a test link setup here: http://workalicio.us/icon-fonts-test/bhco_icons95115/

I've tried making new versions of the SVG source, smaller exports, but that throws my line-height. I'm trying to make that symbol HUGE, like 8.5em, which doesn't work where 20em does. Any ideas?

I think I've figured out what went wrong, but I'm not certain. I believe the key is to design the SVG that is the source on a 16 x 16 grid. Icomoon calls them Crisp Icon Fonts. I found a good article that details an approach for setting up in Illustrator. Here's a link to that article:
