And so I don't have a latest backup.

Anyway to get this back.

Why did it get removed? Seems to be since there was an update.

By default, all your data is stored in your browser's local storage space. Removing the cache can cause this issue.

ok, this explains the problem with the projects

but what about the missing icons
seems like they are removed from the icomoon free lib

There hasn't been any change to the library lately. We removed the "webhostinghub glyphs" icon set from the library many months ago (because it didn't meet our quality standards).

By default? so is there the option to make the data store server side?

I don't understand why this would ever be stored in browsers local storage unless it's a temporary session. But when I save a project having put time in to renaming icons and organising, I expect this to be securely saved. Or at least informed that it could all be lost by being in another browser/machine.

This isn't very good for design teams to use. In my case it's an icon font which will continually be modified and added to, not convert to icon font and job done.

If you look at the project manager page, you'll see a warning/notice regarding this matter. Your data gets saved to your account (on IcoMoon's servers) if you're a premium user: https://icomoon.io/premium.html

I'm sorry, but storing in local storage is just wrong. Why would you bother to do this?

As a user I did not clearly see a message to say my projects could be deleted if I cleared my browser cache. You should assume users will miss this.

Store it server side, standard! it's cheap.

There are pros and cons to storing the data on the client side. The goal was to make the app work offline and independent of the server. Also for those who make their own vectors and don't like their work to be uploaded to a third party server, this is a good feature.
