Hi all,

I'm not sure if I'm missing something obvious here: I'm the UI designer for a site. I've created an IcoMoon font, and the developers can load it to the site, but I can't figure out how to get it to show in Photoshop or Illustrator CS5, on a Mac 10.8. I installed in Font Book, and the font name shows in the menu, but when I try to type with it, the text defaults to Myriad. What am I doing wrong? Is it possible to use the font offline?

Thank you!

Anna

Hi,

Thanks for using IcoMoon. Icon fonts generated by IcoMoon use a special encoding (called PUA) that's suitable for web. If you'd like to be able to use regular Latin letters, use the "Reset Encoding" button in the font tab of the app before downloading your font pack. Note that when you reset the encoding to "Basic Latin", only the first 94 icons from your selection will be affected; because only 94 basic latin characters exist.

Instead of using the Reset Encoding button, you could also type in the textbox above each glyph.
