Introducing P5 - Digital Medical Center (Portugal)

Hello all!

My name is Cristina and I am posting on behalf of the Digital Medical Center Association P5.

We are a non-profit organization at the School of Medicine of the University of Minho (Portugal). We focus our activity on clinical services, education and training, health promotion and R&D with the goal of bringing healthcare closer to people through the use of new technologies.

Our dedicated R&D Unit is focused on developing projects that aim to promote better health care knowledge and delivery. Our main areas of interest are:

• Digital medicine and remote monitoring,
• Chronic disease management and health promotion,
• Medical device assessment,
• Health and digital literacy,
• Epidemiological studies.

 Our role on a possible partnership could involve the following activities, among others:

• Community evolvement,
• Partnerships with municipalities and/or health care centers,
• Needs assessment and focus group,
• Training activities for patients and health professionals,
• Ethical and regulatory support,
• Validation studies.
