Thanet Makers

Hi All,

 

Just thought I would abuse the power of google groups 1 last time before I hand admin over to the committee..

 

The group we are setting up in Thanet is up and online at www.meetup.com/thanetmakers

 

It looks like it’s going to be off to a good start and we have a great venue for a social. Please pass the link on to anyone you know who lives down this way.

 

I know it’s a bit out of the way for most of you but it would be great to see some of you there if you can make it.

Heyhey! Glad things are shaping up nicely for you, Matt :) 

I'll forward the link to the cs dept at kent, in case anyone up that way is interested - you might want to drop a post into the Canterbury Hackspace group as well, as there might be some people willing to travel, at least occasionally :)

That would be good ed. I did a talk about STaTBUOY at Digibury last Wednesday and “may” have mentioned the Thanet Makers group a few times so I think most of the Canterbury groups know about it.

 

Also just been live on Academy FM (local radio station) to pimp the meetup. Just got handed a phone out of the blue and got put live on air!

I for one don't see this as an abuse of the power of google groups. Please feel free to keep us up to date on what your up to and also what thanet makers are up to.......

We're interested in knowing and helping where possible with what the Innovators and Makers are doing where ever they are doing it. also if you need help and one of us can help you then please feel free to use the google groups to contact us and ask, the worse were going to do is ignore you.......
