Hi, I'm having the same problem four years later. I bought my daughter an iPad and now all my emails have her name as the sender in all my emails. I can't see 'the Alias popup', I'm guessing it's changed. Any chance you could help with the 2017 fix? Much appreciated. Chris
In Mail, go to preferences. Select the account in question. Select the Account Information tab. Click the Alias popup, and select Custom. Now the Full Name field should no longer be greyed out, and you should be able to edit it.
Not sure whether this will help anyone, but . . . Even though my name appeared as desired [my nickname] in my PDP account setting (under Preferences > Accounts), emails were coming through as being from [my full name]. I finally changed my name in my iCloud account setting (via the Alias popup and Custom settings) and now email is being sent from [my nickname] as desired.
I'm stil having a problem. I've added the fields, but in one case one of my friends names was originally added to Gmail as Amy & Irving. I updated it to be first name of just Amy and then listed the spouse as Irving. Oddly enough when this updates I can see the correct name Amy Last Name, however, when I click to edit I see the original names Amy & Irving and note that in Messages what continues to show us is Amy & Irving.
here is a related problem I'm having--when i go to type in my address to send myself an email to my gmail address, it has started to come up as "holidays in the united states" and then my gmail address. i have no idea why this started today all of a sudden. i went in to preferences, account information, description, and no where do i see where this is showing nor how i can change it. this is happening only on my macbook air not my phone or iPad. i checked my contacts and nowhere do see this.
I'm getting an oddly similar thing, emails to me are coming up with my email alias as 'Holidays in the United Kingdom' that's too much of a coincidence! I've looked in preferences and it should be working just fine.
I'm getting "Holidays in Italy" for my own gmail account. That is definitely NOT how it is listed in my contacts. Why is it doing this? Are all of these "Holidays in XX" happening exclusively to gmail accounts?
Apple Mail continues to place emails in my junk folder, which are from people I regularly email back and forth with. Is there a safe senders list somewhere? I don't to have to make a contact for a bunch of emails just to keep them from going into junk.
4) In the Perform the following actions section, choose Move Message in the first drop down and Inbox in the second drop down. NOTE: Even if Inbox is already selected in the second drop down, you still need to click the second drop down and choose Inbox again for Apple Mail to register the choice.
NOTE: Most Macs have a Rule in Apple Mail already called News From Apple which runs first. The purpose of this rule is to change the background color of the email in your inbox so that you recognize it as being from Apple. However, the rule inexplicably by default has a second action: Stop Evaluating Rules
This means that after the News From Apple rule runs, it will stop running any new rules you have created. Any rule you have set to run after News From Apple will not run unless you remove the Stop Evaluating Rules action from the rule itself.

It's the archive of mail I have setup in the "On my Mac" section of Apple Mail that I want to share with my two MacBook Air machines. I have seen that some people have used symlinks but I am not sure that it is supported by Dropbox and I cannot find any supporting information.
I am using a symbolic link for Apple mail to dropbox because I wanted both my desktop & Macbook to have the same (very large) "on my mac" files when I traveled. I also have a number of IMAP accounts as well for more current emails.
@ShoDeJongh while there isn't an integration as @karstenkoehler pointed out, you can log email in your CRM with the BCC or forwarding address. Not the best solution, but a solution nonetheless. Cheers!
Since updating to the latest version, links to open an email message directly in the apple mail app no longer work in the Evernote desktop app. I create these links by dragging the message from apple mail directly into the body of an Evernote note, which creates a link with the email message title as the text.
Same problem here. I also use Hookmark to create links and those no longer work either. Like you, it is only on the Mac desktop app. Links work as expected from web and the iOS app. I sent a message to Evernote support last week and haven't received a response.
We're truly sorry to hear that the troubleshooting steps we provided didn't help! We understand how frustrating it can be when something isn't working as expected and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. Rest assured, your concern has been noted and reported to our developers. While we may not have an immediate solution at hand, please know that we're working hard to prevent any such issues from arising in the future. Enhancing the user experience of Evernote remains a top priority for us. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through this. Your feedback is invaluable to us as it helps us improve our product and provide a better experience for all our users. If you have any further questions or if there's anything else we can assist you with, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Support has evidently been overloaded since BS took over the company. I, and many others, think this is bad, given the professional positioning they have for Evernote. I don't find the product useless and I am hopeful things will continue to (generally) improve.
Despite several Evernote updates per week, this devastating bug persists. Seriously, WTF? Without clickable outgoing links to other macOS applications, Evernote is utterly useless to me - so right now, I'm just flushing 100 dollars down the drain. ??
As you very well know contacting support - even as a Premium user - doesn't help a bit. All you get is a generic response that doesn't even address your issue. As you can see in this thread, I've already contacted Evernote regarding this bug to no avail.
And a lot of users use application links such as HookMark, Devonthink and so on. The idea of even disabling these outgoing links is completely insane. But one thing is for sure; if they don't fix this, I will not renew my Premium subscription later this spring. Right now I have to use Apple Note for all my work because outgoing application links have been disabled. If at least Evernote Legacy would have been continued (all the links still work there), I could have continued my work from there.
Is there any update on whether this is simply a bug or removed functionality? I moved to using Apple Notes for the past few months but would prefer to start using Evernote again if this issue is fixed...
Every week, Evernote releases updates with new flashy, nice-to-have features, but they still haven't fixed the critical bug that prevents outgoing links from working. WTF Evernote!!?? It's a MUST HAVE feature that one can access outgoing links in a NOTE APP such as Evernote.
We are an Architectural Buro with 5 Evernote Accounts and it killed our Workflow since February. The main reason why we chose Evernote, was the ability to collect all Information in one Note: PDF, JPEG, E-mail Links, intern Evernote-Links.

Hi nancy, as you can see from the screenshot , next to the pdf icon the blue text "download" appears and even though the pdf weighs very little it doesn't disappear. If I send the email, it starts and it looks ok, but then the 'attachement weighs is 0 kb.
Another interesting detail: if I want to save received attachments (via the "save attachments" command), I can only save them in a folder called "downloads" which is inside the dropbox folder. If I choose to save the documents anywhere else, even on my desktop, it doesn't save my attachments. This happens with other programs as well.
Exception: if I drag the documents to a folder, the download works (app mail and other software).
