Local Talent Show and other upcoming ICMDS programs

Hello lovers of music and dance,

The year promises much and we have lined up some exciting programs for
our community.

Our upcoming programs list:

1. Local Talent Show (look for participation information below)
Performers - all levels of local talent plus FEATURED
PROFESSIONAL ARTISTS
Saturday, February 26, 2011 - 12 noon till ..
Venue: Durham Arts Council, Durham, NC

2. Carnatic Vocal Music
Performers - Priya sisters and accompaniment
Sunday late afternoon April 10, 2011
Venue: TBD

3. Hindustani Vocal Music
Performers - Sanjay Abhayankar and accompaniment
Saturday evening April 23, 2011
Venue: TBD

As is our tradition we will start the year with a program for the
local talents to showcase their skills in classical music and dance.
The event is scheduled on Saturday February 26, 2011 at Durham Arts
Council, Downtown Durham. The program will go from 12 noon till 6
pm. As added attractions we will have presentations from two
professional grade artists in both music and dance category.

The last date for registration for the event is February 15th 2011.
All registrations must be done by downloading the application from our
website and filling up the word document and sending it by email to
ques...@icmds.org.

For ICMDS members and their children there are no participation fees.
For non ICMDS members each participant will be required to pay $5
participation fee. There is a time limit of 10 minutes per item and
each participant is limited to one item.

Besides the local talent program, we have booked marquee artists for
our forthcoming events.

Please mark your calendars for the following outstanding programs that
we have arranged for the month of April.

On Sunday April 10, the famous Priya sisters will be performing for
us. On Saturday April 23, we will be presenting the highly acclaimed
Hindustani vocal artist Sanjeev Abhaynkar. Venues for both the
programs are yet to be decided and we would update you as soon as we
have finalized.
