The following is a courtesy announcement for Smt. Kavith Konda

NRI Dance Competitions for Gemini TV Channel (one of the leading
channels in India) :

to bring out the hidden talent in the NRI youth. This is the first
time ever any Indian channel planning to conduct the dance
competitions across all USA to find the best dance talent and bring it
back to India.


The plan is to select nearly 10 best performers through this talent
search. The selected persons will be invited to India and provide
training in various dance forms, and will be given opportunity to
participate in Gemini Channel Reality Shows. The entire expenditure
for National winners (trip to India) will be borne by the Gemini
Program Organizers.

Preliminary Selections:

· In every center 50 registrations will be accepted on first come
first serve basis. The registration fee is $100 only.

· Details:

o NorthCarolina - Preliminary selections will be held in Raleigh/
Durham on Oct 24th.

§ Will inform exact location for prelims to all registered
participants EOB on Oct 17th.

o If you are interested in participating, please register and send an
email to Kavitha by EOD Oct 23rd. Please note that only the 1st 50
registrations will be accepted for preliminaries. Registrations past
end date/ last minute walk-ins will be considered, but it’s up to the
discretion of the coordinator.

o Please bring in your audio cd on the day of the priliminaries.

· 10 participants who are selected in the preliminaries will be
allowed/expected to go to Washington DC for Regional selections at
their own expense.

o Example selection criteria: Pick 50% of age group from 7 to 17 and
the rest in between 18 to 25. ( e.g. If you have 50 participants, will
pick 5 from each group)

Regional Selections:

· Regionals will be held in Washington DC. Tentative dates: Nov 5th

National Finals:

FINALs will be held in New Jersey. Tentative Dates: Nov 2nd or 3rd
week

India Dates:

on or before Dec 15th

Show telecast Date:

Current plan is to start telecasting the show in GEMINI TV on
01/15/2011.


Eligibility, Terms and Conditions:

· In every center 50 registrations will be accepted on first come
first serve basis. The registration fee is $100 only.

· Age should be in between 7 and 29 years.

· NRI boys, and girls can participate

· Participants should have to be acquainted with at least one dance
form. It doesn’t matter whether it is Western, Movie, Classical, and
folk dances.

· The event will be conducted across the country in several regions.

· Preliminaries will be conducted across the region followed by semi/
regional finals and National finals.

· The regional winners will be participating in the national finals.

· National winners will be participating in the JOSH – Gemini Reality
show in India.
