Alongside Chandrasekhar, Broken Lizard features Kevin Heffernan (hilarious in an episode of Veep), Paul Soter, Steve Lemme, and Erik Stolhanske. But, they weren't called Broken Lizard right out of the gate, that only came in time and still hasn't been fully explained. Explanations for the name range from erectile dysfunction to "it was random," both of which somehow seem perfectly in line with the troupe's tone. That tone hasn't always led to the best comedy movies on the planet, but there are a few winners nonetheless. These are the movies from Broken Lizard, ranked worst to Super Troopers.
The first Broken Lizard movie isn't quite their worst, but it comes pretty close. Puddle Cruiser is one of those movies where there isn't much of a plot, but it's nice to see some recognizable performers at such a young age finding their voices. And for Broken Lizard aficionados, it also has the charm of having been filmed at their alma mater: Colgate University.
There could only be one top Broken Lizard movie, and it's the first Super Troopers. If any of the troupe's movies is appealing on the macro scale, it's also Super Troopers, and that accessibility remains even after 20 years and a developing conceptualization of what is funny. The movie was also a pretty sizable hit when released in February 2002, earning over $23 million on a budget of at most $3 million (via The Numbers), and remains Broken Lizard's biggest financial success to date.

Doctor Curtis "Curt" Connors is a scientist who became known as the Lizard after a self-inflicted experiment transformed him. With the desire to turn the rest of the human race into lizards, he was challenged by Spider-Man, and ultimately defeated. However, Lizard was transported through the Multiverse to another universe by Doctor Strange's failed spell, where he was swiftly captured. Lizard was then convinced by the other multiverse travelers to allow Spider-Man to try and cure them, only for Green Goblin to destroy these plans. Lizard then joined the other villains in a final battle against the three Spider-Men, until he was defeated, turned back into a human and sent back to his universe.
Curt Connors was a brilliant scientist at Oscorp with a missing right arm, and during his time there, he met the electrician Max Dillon. After experimenting on himself with a serum he developed, Connors was transformed into a mutant Lizard, a dangerously manic alter-ego. While in Lizard form, he believed that he had achieved the next stage of human evolution and attempted to release his serum throughout New York City in order to transform everyone into humanoid lizards. However, he was stopped, defeated and ultimately cured by Spider-Man, who put an end to his plans.[1]
Following the captures of Electro and Sandman, Lizard recognized the former and laughed. Electro explained Lizard's background to everyone in the chamber, including his plot to transform everyone in New York City into lizards like himself, which he labeled as insanity. Lizard shamelessly defended his actions as the next phase in human evolution. He also took note of Electro's physical changes, such as how his repaired teeth, lack of glasses and a new haircut, asking if he got a makeover. Eager, Lizard offered to give Electro a "real makeover" by transforming him into a lizard as well, but they were silenced by Sandman.[1]
One of Oscorp's leading scientific minds, Curt Connors was a bright and ambitious scientist who attempted to engineer a revolutionary regeneration serum to help re-grow limbs and human tissue with a desire to help change mankind for the better. However, when pressured to come up with results, he elects to become the first human test subject. While initially it works; however, it quickly changes, and he mutates into a powerful man-lizard creature.
@JediXMan: @nickzambuto: Both X3 and Spidey 3 sucked equally. There you go. Oh, and I haven't seen the Amazing Spider-Man so I'll join this debate after I've seen what the lizard can do.
The dinosaur in the movie is mostly imagination, but a new comprehensive analysis of Dilophosaurus fossils is helping to set the record straight. Far from the small lizard-like dinosaur in the movies, the actual Dilophosaurus was the largest land animal of its time, reaching up to 20 feet in length, and it had much in common with modern birds.
When the representative of Oscorp C.E.O. Norman Osborn, Dr. Rajit Ratha fires Connors after he refuses to rush into human trials unprepared, Connors experiments the chemical on himself and next morning finds that he has regenerated his arm. Learning that Dr. Ratha is on his way to the VA hospital, Connors leaves to intercept him, but it quickly becomes apparent that his "cure" is doing more than was intended as his skin grows scaly and claws sprout from his fingers. By the time he gets to the traffic-jammed Williamsburg Bridge, Connors has transformed into a super humanly strong humanoid lizard creature where he tossed some cars over the side.
A voice in Connors' head (likely the Lizard) further corrupts his mind by stating that Species-wide distribution could enhance humanity in an evolution scale and how much power he (Connors) has, while also how he could save everyone. Giving in to the voice, Connors is manipulated into injecting more serum in himself. The Lizard attacks Peter at his school and tells him not to stop him but he refuses. Unsuccessful, The Lizard then develops a plan to turn all humans lizard-like, starting with the release of a chemical cloud from the Oscorp Tower. The police hunt both Spider-Man and The Lizard simultaneously. Spider-Man eventually disperses an antidote cloud restoring Connors and his reptilian victims back to normal, but not before The Lizard mortally wounds Captain George Stacy. With his sanity restored to him, Connors then proceeds to save Spider-Man from falling off a building using the rest of his quickly dissipating lizard strength. Afterwards, he surrenders himself to the authorities and is arrested for his crimes.
In a scene after the end credits, Connors (who has been placed in Beloit Psychiatric Hospital) appears to speak with a mysterious man who asks if Connors told Peter the truth about his father. Connors replies that he didn't, but also demands that he leaves Peter alone. The man then mysteriously vanishes. It is also hinted that he may still have some form of the lizard serum left in his system.
Connors was mentioned twice by Harry Osborn. Harry first mentioned him stating "people were pissed off because he tried to turn everyone into giant lizards". The second time was when Harry is trying to convince Peter to ask Spider-Man to give him a blood sample in order to cure his retroviral hyperplasia. When Peter tells him about what happened to Connors, Harry tells him Connors was weak, and that he could handle it.
At some point from before he was cured, possibly around the time he discovered Peter was Spiderman following their fight in the sewer, an alternate version of the Lizard is transported to the year 2024 in alternate universe (MCU universe) after a spell casted by Doctor Strange goes haywire. Connors hides in the sewers until he is confronted by Strange and transported to the Sanctum Sanctorum and locked inside a dungeon. Later on, he would reunite with Max Dillon, as they were both workers in the Oscorp Industries in their universe(Webb universe). When Dillon talks about how Connors turned himself into a Lizard and attempted to turn everyone into lizards, Lizard says it was the next step of evolution. After Dillon realizes how he was about to die before being transported to this universe, Lizard asks him if he dies. Eventually he, Dillon and three other villains from a third alternate universe(Raimi universe) would be released from imprisonment by the Peter Parker from the MCU universe in order to help cure the villains from their destructive powers and to spare them from dying by Spider-Man in their universes before "going home". All the villains except Connors would group in Happy Hogan's apartment while he remained in a F.E.A.S.T truck.
Artificially Enhanced Physiology: Connors transformed himself into a giant mutant lizard after experimenting with cross-species genetics; he harnessed the DNA of a lizard and transferred its capabilities to himself, granting him enhanced reptilian physical attributes.
