Quality Delivery of Security Services: What End Users need?

Private Security Agencies and other Private Security Service Providers (collectively “PSSPs”) play an important role in protecting state and non-state clients engaged in relief, recovery, and reconstruction efforts, commercial business operations, diplomacy and military activity. In providing these services, the activities of PSSPs can have potentially positive and negative consequences for their clients, the local population in the area of operation, the general security environment, the enjoyment of human rights and the rule of law. The big companies are outsourcing some of their risk management to external #security_service_providers and, thereby, carrying out a strategic change – typically devoting more effort to their core business while letting others take care of support activities. The #serviceproviders are required to be ready to take on significant proportions of their clients’ #riskmanagement and, thereby, carry out a #strategicchange of their own – possibly adopting a new service-oriented business logic that will complement their core service product.
In changing times when India is poised to be superpower, the delivery processes and standards of varied security services and product needs major overhaul. Capt. Manoj Kumar, Executive President of International Council For Industrial Security & Safety Management is discussing the varied range of issues related to quality delivery of security servives which PSSPs need to adopt to remain ahead of thier competition.
Capt Manoj Kumar is alumni of Officers Training Academy and served Indian Army in ‘Jat Regiment’. He was part of Indian Peace Keeping Force and has rich experience in war games and tactics and has served as ADC to Division Commander. Over 40 years’ experience in #industrialsafety and #industrialsecurity management in different sectors ranging from #paints, #heavyengineering, #automobile & #chemicals in country & overseas has been great learning opportunity for him and made him a mentor for multitude of professionals in the core areas of strategic planning of security and safety operations, functional audits and technology implementation.
