There's also a small bug with Maxwell reading the Codex Umbra where his torso flips horizontally mid animation (frames 6 to 61). This is most noticeable with non-symmetric clothing like his default skin (see below):

What if when trying to spam spells/more duelists on low sanity, maxwell gets stunned by the same mind control nightmare effect fuelweaver does to players? And it causes some kind of negative effect like health loss?

Either a stun (which would be kind of terrible) or a 100% chance of getting a terrorbeak (or perhaps some new, even stronger shadow?) to spawn and instantly aggro, until one or two of his shadows die.

Perhaps they can die more easily (damage cap lessened x0.5), have reduced base damage, or better come with a more pronounced risk like instead of capping from sanity, shadow duelist can cap from your health. You'd lose max 15 HP for every duelist, perhaps down to either 15 or 1, letting you only have 4-5 of them. Currently it seems you're under no risk and can win by doing absolutely nothing.

i think is good that they are this powerfull and they dont need any other nerf, however if there was really a necesity to change them i will make it so so maxy had more risk at summoning them not changing the shadows themselves.

As a maxwell main (practically mono, I don't like switching to other characters even momentarily through the portal) I have a probably unpopular opinion about duelist changes.
Duelists shouldn't solo bosses at a low cost, I did the tests with the 4 seasonal bosses and dragonfly and I was able to solo the 5 with 0 risk and very cheaply:
Deerclops: 2 nightmare fuel
Moose/Goose: 1 nightmare fuel
Antlion: 3 nightmare fuel
Bearger: 4 nightmare fuel
Dragonfly: 5 nightmare fuel (probably reducing if I played better and didn't let her rage)
On the other hand I thought they got worse when dealing with hordes of mobs because they lost healing and mobs don't usually hit much above the damage limitation in my opinion duelists should be more useful against hordes of mobs and less useful against bosses being just one expensive option to fight bosses but never better than maxwell fighting normally against them (working more like magic projectiles)
My suggestions: Return healing to duelists, remove damage limitation, shield duelists that ignore first incoming atk.
With these changes I believe that duelists would be more in line with what in my opinion they should be, the shield guarantees at least 1 atk against bosses, being able to take more value from them but they would still die quickly and the return of healing in line with the new changes would put the duelists in a good place to face hordes of weaker mobs
Please decrease the book reading animation time to summon servant and duelists now that they are spammed with limited duration time is long, especially when using the duelist in combat.
Shadow servant must have 75 health or be immune to indirect damage.
Shadow Sneak still seems very unhelpful to me (maybe I'm missing something so anyone who knows good ways to use it feel free to talk) and I still think it should be reworked into a completely new spell or swap fear for damage.

The shadow duelists are very good right now but not over powered in the slightest. I mean that. I would rather play this character and have fun than play the character and feel like i am completely useless like when i play the new wicker. If this bug fix was the final update I would be over the moon about it.

While the dualists are really really good, they do indeed need a slight tweak to make them not destroy every boss by looking at them. i think the problem is that they are way too easy and cheap to just spam down and sit around. They fully go around the mechanic of the ancient guardian. i have come around to liking that they are locked to an area it makes it so you can leave for a while and they just continue to do whatever.

I was wondering how my duelists didn't insta-die when I was fighting antlion. Summoned 5, one actually survived since we took it down so much quicker (and I'm not discounting the RNG spikes missing it).

Very great update! But could you please add in future ability to make Maxwell control him shadows? Because for exemple, when I fight with Klaus shadows duelits start smash deers, but not the Klaus, and this is very annoying. Also, this problem happened with shadow servants. For example, if I want that shadows take grass or sticks for me, they will not do this. Because if tree, rock or something else stand close to them, shadow servants firstly will come to them, but not to what I want. Please try to do something with this =[

the changes got and interesting way, for me now the only thing i probably am asking myself and i wanted an response for klei because this is LORE, and i am more curious about why and not that i want but,

Welcome to the build guide for one of the most iconic Barbarian builds across multiple Diablo titles, the Whirlwind Barbarian! Beloved by many, this simple playstyle will have you moving with ease through hordes of demons across the open world and nightmare dungeons, slicing through anything in your way as you become an unstoppable hurricane of steel. Thanks to the updates to some aspects in Patch 1.4.0, we will also be spawning some mighty tornadoes to help us mow down demons even faster. If you like simple but fun playstyles and tons of screen-clearing potential, this may be the build for you.

Below you will find all of the best-in-slot Aspects found on Legendary items that are important for this build. Remember that with Patch 1.4.0 all Legendary powers can be added into your Codex once you salvage or extract the item. You can still find some aspects through dungeons as you could in previous seasons but now you have the option to upgrade these affixes if you find a higher roll of that affix. Let us go over what aspects you will need.

Visit the Alchemist in any main town to craft helpful Elixirs that increase stats, and experience gain for 30 minutes. Make sure to forage plants and pick up the necessary crafting materials during your adventures; they randomly spawn around the world. Use an Elixir providing any Resistance you need most, or the new Elixir of Resource (Resource cost reduced by 10-20%). Maximum resource increased by 10-25) for more efficient spins!

Below are the affixes to prioritize on gear. Each line of affixes is listed in order of importance. Tempering Manuals and their recommended affixes are provided in the second column, and the bolded yellow affixes are the most important targets for Masterworking upgrades. To masterwork, you will need rare materials that only drop from The Pit. Be sure to check our Tempering guide, our Masterworking guide, as well as our guide about The Pit for more details about these topics.

Below you will find information on Uniques and Uber Uniques that are useful for this build. Moreover, if you are interested in target farming Uber Uniques, check out our How to Farm Uber Uniques guide.

Unlike past seasons there is no overarching theme for season 4 as Blizzard are focused on the absolutely massive loot overhaul which is sure to change the game in big ways. There will also be a reputation to be gained with the new Ironwolves during Helltides and this faction grants several tempering manuals and even a resplendent spark! Below we will list some changes relevant to the Whirlwind Barbarian beyond the affix changes, tempering, greater affixes, and masterworking.

This is perhaps the most iconic playstyle for Barbarians. Get your shouts up, pop Wrath of the Berserker and hold down Whirlwind and spin2win. Be sure to hold Challenging Shout and Iron Skin for nasty elites and bosses to provide solid damage reduction so you can just keep spinning and chop them up into bits.

This build does struggle against some higher level single target bosses but should mop up any large groups with the greatest of ease. A truly old-fashioned and iconic playstyle from all the way back in Diablo 2 now here in Diablo 4 with whirlwinds the size of the screen!

1. People tend to confuse social class with economic class, eg how much money you make. But social class is a more complicated idea involving how respectable you seem, how educated you are, and what kind of family you come from. An assembly line supervisor might make the same amount of money as a schoolteacher, but the schoolteacher would probably seem more refined and be able to access better social circles.

6. College is a finishing school for the upper classes. They send their children there to learn the proper upper class values and behaviors. Even if community college does a great job teaching whatever trades it teaches, it will not teach you how to be a part of the upper class, and this will seriously limit your opportunities.

5. The highest class (E1) are psychopaths who burn the global commons for shits and giggles. They tend to be drug lords, arms dealers, and morally insane billionaires. Most famous politicians and businesspeople are not in this class and most people in this class are not famous.

2. Vaisyas are standard middle-class people who engage in productive employment. They tend to form nuclear families and try to go to church. Status is having a stable job, a stable family, and being well-liked in your church or social club.

But I think the differences are real and political: MC comes from a liberal perspective, UR from a conservative one. MC wants to locate the source of the cancer in the (mostly plutocrat) Elites, cast the (mostly liberal) Gentry as wonderful people who can do no wrong, cast the (mostly conservative) Labor as deluded and paranoid, and cast the (liberal-aligned) Underclass in a sympathetic light. UR wants to locate the source of the cancer in the (mostly liberal) Brahmins, cast the (mostly conservative) Labor as decent salt-of-the-Earth types under threat from the elite, and cast the (liberal-aligned) Underclass in an unsympathetic light.
